Ravi Shastri Not Appointed as Indian Team Coach: BCCI denies the reports of Ravi Shastri appointed as an Indian Team Coach. The rumor was spread in all social medias that Ravi Shastri was appointed as an Indian Team Coach, but BCCI denies the report.

BCCI Announces Ravi Shastri As Indian Head Coach

BCCI Secretary Amitabh Chaudhary stated, “No decision has been made on the appointment of the new coach. The CAC is still deliberating over it.” Shastri, who was a successful Team Director between 2014-2016 was expected to be appointed as an Indian Team Coach. If he was chosen, his first assignment would be a Test series against Sri Lanka, beginning July 26 and his appointment is till the 2019 World Cup, to be held in England and Wales.

The CAC (Cricket Advisory Committee) interviewed Shastri, Sehwag, Moody, Richard Pybus and Lalchand Rajput on July 9 but delayed the announcement. They announced the coach after discuss with captain Virat Kohli.
