Malayalam actor Dileep selfie with cops: Malayalam actor Dileep has arrested in the sexual assault case of co-actress on July 10. While a selfie picture of Dileep with cops goes viral on social media. In that picture, the actor is dressed in a blue colour shirt and standing in the crowd. Also, in the same picture which taken on a mobile phone, two police personnel flanking him each side with the smiling face.
This picture was taken a few months back by the Civil Police Officer and he also shared on his Facebook profile. But, the social media saying it is the Custody Selfie.
Arun Simon, a 33-year-old Civil Police Officer (CPO) in Thrissur was posted a selfie photo with the Malayalam actor Dileep on his Facebook as mentioned above, which was happened a few months ago.
After the Dileep was lodged in the Aluva sub-jail, his selfie photograph with the cops began to be shared on social media as Facebook, WhatsApp and Twitter. While the selfie photograph was circulated with the caption that the cops were taking a photo with the accused actor in jail.
Also, the police were criticised because of the selfie with accused actor, which is widely spread on social media. Till now, maximum of the people didn’t about the real truth behind this selfie photograph.
At the same time, the CPO Arun cornered with the tonnes of phone calls. All his well-wishers and friends are called and asked him to clarify about the image. After, he posted clarification post on Tuesday regarding the photograph which still on the air.

CPO Arun Simon said: “Friends, I am Arun Simon, a CPO at the Irinjalakkuda police station. The photo of me and Dileep titled ‘Selfie in custody’ is fake. That was taken when Dileep came to Irinjalakkuda to shoot Georgettan’s Pooram.”
The police personnel Arun and his friend who had taken a selfie with the actor Dileep was clicked at the church in Irinjalakkuda. The actor was visited for the shooting of his film on that day, while two of the policemen deployed to control the crowd there.
