2G Scam Verdict: Court Acquits all accused including A.Raja, Kanimozhi

2G Scam verdict: 2G Spectrum case has been on the court for more than seven years. Today on December 21, Thursday, the extraordinary twist in the case as CBI court acquitted all the accused including Telecom Minister A.Raja and DMK MP Kanimozhi in the Rs 30,000 crore 2G spectrum allocation scam cases.

The CBI court under O.P Saini declared the judgment of acquitting all the accused from the case as the prosecution has failed to prove any of its charges. All the accused were present at the Patiala House for the verdict today at 10:30 AM and the hudge arrived on 11 am and the judgment was pronounced by O P Saini.

Apart from A Raja and Kanimozhi, the others acquitted in this case are former telecom secretary Siddharth Behura, Raja ‘s erstwhile private secretary R K Chandolia, Swan Telecom promoters Shahid Usman Balwa and Vinod Goenka, Unitech Ltd MD Sanjay Chandra and three top executives of Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (RADAG) — Gautam Doshi, Surendra Pipara and Hari Nair.

Directors of Kusegaon Fruits and Vegetables Pvt Ltd Asif Balwa and Rajiv Agarwal, Kalaignar TV director Sharad Kumar and Bollywood producer Karim Morani are also acquitted in the case. Besides them, three telecom firms — Swan Telecom Pvt Ltd (STPL), Reliance Telecom Ltd and Unitech Wireless (Tamil Nadu) Ltd — were also accused and acquitted in the case.

After this judgment, DMK became happy about it and they fired crackers and distributed sweets to the people. DMK party leader has said it was a false case and it was used against them in the past two assembly elections. DMK party started to celebrate the victory considering it is their beginning and a lot of things to do. It is to note that Opposite party TTV Dinakaran has also conveyed his wishes to DMK Party.
