CBSE Maths: The Central Board of Secondary Examination has decided not to hold retest for Class 10 Mathematics even though the question paper for the exam was leaked earlier. This decision holds good for Delhi and Haryana test takers where the leak took place. The Class 10 Maths examination was conducted on March 28.
it is reported that the CBSE and HRD ministry officials believe the leak won’t significantly impact the overall result. As well, they believe the Class 10 examination, which is a qualifying one for students to move to higher secondary school rather than to university, could be treated differently.
It is also said that if a student has done poorly in internal assessment and does exceptionally well in the main paper and this is at variance with his other papers and then they might examine the result more carefully. The retest was cancelled mainly because the leak issue has occurred only in Delhi and Haryana states.
Meanwhile, the re-examination for Class 12 economics paper will take place as scheduled on April 25. Three people, including two teachers of a private school, were arrested by the Delhi Police on Sunday for their suspected roles in leakage of the Class 12 economics paper.
