Google Pixel XL (2017) with LG-made AMOLED display

Google Pixel XL (2017): By the recent report from Android Police it is confirmed that Google has roped in LG to supply AMOLED display units for the Pixel XL smartphones with the 6.0-inch screen, 0.3 inches more than its predecessor.

From the last couple of months, there will be a lot of reports will be around that who will make the Google’s 2017 series Pixel phones. Some of them suggested that they tie up with HTC, some others suggested that they tie up with their long time old friend LG, editions of Nexus series mobiles. The Android Police also leaked the graphic rendition of the fully developed Google Pixel XL (2017) phone, revealing design language.

In their official website, Android Police tweeted as, “Exclusive: This is the 2017 Google Pixel “XL,” with low-bezel AMOLED display and squeezable frame .”

The new arrival of Google phone looks classy; their outer appearance was looking stunning made with glass and metal clad steel on the back. This looks like as the 2016 series design, but the glass will cover only the top-most part, while most of the rear will have metal and fingerprint sensor will be out of glass enclosure. The device will launch soon with an improved rear camera, CPU storage. But, the internal specifications cannot be mentioned now.

The front panel design looks rounder, and the body portion was similar to the LG G6 series smartphone, and the source says that the display will have 2:1 aspect ratio minimal bezel and will have a 3D glass cover on the edges to give a curvy look.

The smartphone has a 6.0-inch screen, 0.3 inches more than its predecessor. On the top, the front camera present in the left and great single-grille speaker in the middle. At the bottom there are no any physical buttons, also have very less space between the base edge and the screen.

In the right side, the phone has power button in the middle and the adjustable volume button on the top. In the left side, the SIM tray is present. The most interesting feature that is coming in Google Pixel XL (2017) is that it will have HTC U11’s Edge Sense-like squeezable frame technology on the chassis.

HTC Edge Sense Technology offers the ability to activate advanced touch capabilities like “short squeeze” as well as a “squeeze and hold” for even more functionality. So, we can use this in any condition including rainy weather that would usually pose a challenge with capacitive buttons. By the report, HTC and LG will both be contributing to the construction of Google Pixel (2017) series.
