This is sixth SIIMA after five successful events lastly held at the various spot. Now, all the South Indian Cinema celebrities were met again in this Sixth South Indian International Movie Awards. We all knew that the South India had four different languages with four different cultures. Also in Cinema, there are four kinds of wood such as Kollywood, Tollywood, Mollywood, and Sandalwood. The opening day on June 30th has consisted with the Telugu and Kannada film industries. Then, the Tamil and Malayalam film industries participated on the second day and the SIIMA honoured the great talents of all the woods.
In Kollywood (Tamil), actor Simbu’s Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada has nominated in six categories in maximum when to compare with others. Irudhi Suttru, Sivakarthikeyan, Atlee, Nayanthara, Karthick Naren, Kalidas Jayaram, Ritika Singh, and more others in the list of winners in 2016 Tamil films.

The SIIMA Awards 2017 Tamil best films & talents names are listed based on the film released in the year 2016. “Jagga Jasoos” stars Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif appeared at the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2017 in Abu Dhabi to promote their upcoming film.
The sixth edition of the awards honoured veteran singer-musician P Balasubrahmanyam with the lifetime achievement award for his contributions to the cinema.
The event was hosted by actors Sathish and Dhanya Balakrishna and featured special performances by Anu Sitara, Manjima Mohan, Nikki Galrani, Hansika Motwani, Mano and Shriya Saran.
