PV Sindhu of India has defeated Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi 21-16, 24-22 in 54 minutes on Saturday to make the final of the World Championships for the second consecutive year. In the women’s singles final at the Badminton World Championships, Sindhu will face Spain’s Carolina Marin, who defeated the Indian in the Rio Olympic final two years ago.
PV Sindhu, a 23-year-old Badminton player from Hyderabad has won the silver last year and two bronze medals in 2013 and 2014. It is expected that Sindhu to take avenge her defeat in the Rio Olympics final. In the men’s final, China’s Shi Yuqi will take on Japan’s Kento Momota.
The Badminton Women’s Finals Championships 2018 final will be played today at Nanjing, China. PV Sindhu will take on Marin on Sunday for the World Champions title. The BWF World Championships will start at 10.00 am (IST). The Sindhu-Marin match is expected to begin at 12.30 pm (IST).
