Yoga Events were planned in nearly 180 countries across the world and many people participated in it. Yoga itself is a very old practice that is followed in India since time immemorial. Its origin can be traced back to Lord Shiva, who is also called the Adi Yogi (first guru) and is known as the teacher to all the yogis in the world.
Yoga is physical, Mental and spiritual practice followed in India. An international day for yoga was declared unanimously by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on 11 December 2014. Many colleges and schools in India are celebrating 3rd International Yoga Day by performing Yogasans. Some people organise the camp for the public and teach them about benefits of Yogasanas. They also give a speech about the goodness of Yoga such that Yoga’s aim is not only to heal the body but to purify all three: Mind, body and soul. It facilitates a connection between ourselves and Mother Nature, taking us closer to our real selves.
