Meghalaya Tourism Set to Reopen from December 21st

Meghalaya Tourism: In India, all states tourism were locked due to pandemic situation of COVID 19. But the Meghalaya state has decided to reopen for tourist from December 21st as Christmas and New Year holidays are around. The state has decided to open the doors to visitors as usual in a organised and structured procedure due to prevailing pandemic covid 19 situation.

The Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has released the statement of reopening of tourism for visitors from outside state from December 21st. He also tweeted that however registration and long lasting good health prescribtion is absolutely must for people and visitors.

Through meghtourism app, the registration process has been made mandatory for people and visitors to ensure the safety of everyone. The mobile application is available on Google Play Store and it is mandatory to register people details and importantly to upload a photo ID in it who wish to travel there and spent time there for holidays.

As per standard operating procedure by Meghalaya tourism, visitors should provide complete details of their travel and also should submit their travel planning and schedule. Also they should share details of confirmed bookings of their stay in hotels, guest house.
