CBSE NEET 2017: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) organised the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2017 Today (May 7, 2017) from 10 AM to 1 PM IST. This test is for admission of 12th completed students to MBBS/BDS courses which are organised by CBSE. Over 2200 test centres conducted the exam around 104 cities in the country.
About 11 lakh students appeared for the NEET this year 2017 which is 40% more than that of last year. The seats are also increased up to 67000 in which 28000 seats are available in Government Medical colleges and the remaining seats are from private colleges except for the seats of AIIMS and JIPMER.
NEET 2017 Exam
The NEET 2017 Questions consist of 180 objective type which includes the subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) for about 720 marks for the duration of 3 hrs. Each section consists of 45 questions. No marks will be rewarded for unanswered questions and for the correct question 4 marks will be rewarded. There is also a negative mark system in the NEET exam in which the each wrong answer -1 mark will be given.
NEET 2017 Answer Key
The Answer Key for the NEET 2017 will be released soon on the official website cbseneet.nic.in within two weeks of the exam. But the coaching centres such as Aakash institute, Resonance academy, Allen Kota, Rao IIT academy, Motion IIT JEE, Pathfinder academy, Triumph academy, Brilliant coaching, Career Point and many centres release the answer keys on their websites within a day after the exam.
The answer key on the official website is expected to be released on May 21 or 22, 2017, for all kind of questions and OMR sheets and booklets. The answer key that is released by the institutions will be the same as that of on the official website. So students can check the answer key in these websites and they can calculate their expected marks. Any change in answer or ambiguity is found students can challenge it once the key is released on the official website.
