Teacher’s Day 2017: Teacher’s Day is celebrated on September 5. Dr.Sarvapalli RadhaKrishnan is a teacher and the second President of India. When his friends and students asked him to celebrate his birthday, he said that it will be a privilege for him if his birthday September 5 is celebrated as a Teacher’s Day. Since then his birth anniversary becomes the mark of tribute to the valuable contributions of teachers in the society which is celebrated as Teacher’s Day.

Every year in India, September 5 is celebrated as a Teacher’s Day which is marked as a birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. Students who are in schools and colleges celebrate Teacher’s Day with their Friends and Teachers by presenting mementos to their teachers and by dedicating a song or poem to them.
