Teacher’s Day 2017: Teacher’s Day is celebrated on September 5. Dr.Sarvapalli RadhaKrishnan is a teacher and the second President of India. When his friends and students asked him to celebrate his birthday, he said that it will be a privilege for him if his birthday September 5 is celebrated as a Teacher’s Day. Since then his birth anniversary becomes the mark of tribute to the valuable contributions of teachers in the society which is celebrated as Teacher’s Day.
Every year in India, September 5 is celebrated as a Teacher’s Day which is marked as a birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. Students who are in schools and colleges celebrate Teacher’s Day with their Friends and Teachers by presenting mementos to their teachers and by dedicating a song or poem to them.
Teacher’s Day is an occasion which is celebrated to honor and appreciate the teachers who have taught us what we know now. It is their valuable thoughts which we carry out throughout our lives. Sometimes we miss our teachers, friends in School and College lives and we want to go back to those days. But it is never possible at all and so it is a special dedicated day for teachers.
