Kaatru Veliyidai is an upcoming action- romantic Tamil film produced, film .written and directed by Mani Ratnam the person who shows the beauty of love in different ways film.The lead roles are played by Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari as Varun and Leela. After the mass success in OK Kanmani, A.R.Rahman and Mani Ratnam join their hands again.Meanwhile, Mani Ratnam also worked with A.R.Rahman and lyricist Vairamuthu in finalizing songs for the films.”Azhagiye”,”Sarattu Vandiyil” songs are nice to hear from the music track of A.R.Rahman.Cinematography by Ravi Varman and edited by A.Sreekar Prasad.The film was produced by Madras Talkies, Mani Ratnam’s own production house.
After the super hit of “OK Kanmani,” Mani Ratnam collaborated with Karthi for the romantic drama.In February 2016, Karthi signed to play the lead role.For the character of a pilot in this film, Karthi was trained the basics of aircraft, and follow the fitness routines and body language of pilots.He plays as a guy who is good at heart but short tempered.On the other hand, Aditi Rao Hydari plays the female lead role as a doctor.She also worked in a hospital for getting into the character of the doctor.Most of the film shoots are taken in Ooty,cunnoor, Kashmir and their surrounding areas.They wait for many days to get a better climate for the shoot.
Actors RJ Balaji, Delhi Ganesh are joined in the cast of the film in July 2016.Likewise, actress Shraddha Srinath, Lalitha, Rukmini Vijayakumar and actors Harish Raj, 1,2017Vipin Sharma also joined in the film for the supporting roles.
