Major Fire Breaks Out in Kamala Mills, Mumbai on December 29

Mumbai: A major fire broke at a building in Kamala Mills Compound in Lower Parel. The fire started at 12:30 am on the third floor of the building on Senapati Bapat Marg, a commercial hub of the city. As per the reports, 14 people lost their lives, with 11 females and three males among the casualties and 12 others were injured. All the injured were rushed to the KEM hospital.

After this incident, Police came to the spot. More than six fire tenders, four water tanks, and an emergency ambulance rushed to the spot for the rescue operation in order to save people. Three persons are with the serious burn injuries and are taken to Breach Candy Hospital.

The Police constable has said, the reason for the fire broke out is yet unknown and they have filed FIR and the further investigation will proceed. The concerned officers who gave permission and license are to investigated for this fire accident. It is reported that Level II fire was broke out there.
