Karu as Diya: Premam fame Sai Pallavi’s next movie is Karu which has released its trailer last year. But the movie release date was postponed due to TFPC strike in Tamil Nadu. The title Karu is renamed as Diya by Lyca Productions today. It is a bilingual horror thriller drama directed by A.L Vijay. The film is releasing Tamil as Diya and in Telugu as Kanam.
The film starring Sai Pallavi, Naga Shourya, Veronika Arora and Gandhari Nithin in the lead roles. The film is produced by Lyca Productions. The music for the film Diya (Karu) was composed by Sam CS. The audio of the film was released earlier this year.
The film was mainly based on how women are treated by the society and about women safety. Sai Pallavi playing a mother to a four-year-old girl in this film. Initially, the film was said to be released on 3rd March. Later the team has announced that the film will be scheduled to release in both languages Tamil and Telugu as Diya and Kanam on April 27 this year in theatres.
