Uppena Movie: Uppena is an Indian Telugu-language romantic drama film written and directed by debutant Bucchi Babu Sana. The film is produced by Sukumar in collaboration with Naveen Yerenini and Y. Ravi Shankar, under their respective banners Sukumar Writings and Mythri Movie Makers. The movie got released in theatres on 12th February 2021 for the Valentines day weekend.
The film starring debutants Panja Vaisshnav Tej and Krithi Shetty in the lead roles, with Vijay Sethupathi playing a prominent role. The film was originally slated to release on 2 April 2020, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The music for the film Uppena was composed by Devi Sri Prasad and cinematography by Shamdat and which marks the debut of the director and lead pair both.
Uppena Story Plot
The film tells the love story of Aasi (Panja Vaisshnav Tej), a fisherboy who has unconditional fondness for Bebamma (Krithi Shetty) since childhood. Bebamma is a sheltered young woman viewed with reverence as she’s the daughter of Rayanam (Vijay Sethupathi), a local big-wig. While Aasi and Bebamma love each other with innocence, their union poses a threat to Rayanam’s reputation.
