The game of football is not called the ‘beautiful game’ for nothing. There are around 240 million people who play the game worldwide, in more than 200 countries. The FIFA World Cup held every four years has a total viewership (including multiple games watched by a person) of more than 30 million. As an individual sport, football (called soccer in some countries) has the single largest following worldwide, arousing emotions and giving joy through the year.

International competitions involving national teams of different countries are usually held at intervals of four years (like the Olympics, FIFA World Cup, Euro Cup, Concacaf etc.). But the club leagues are where the big viewership and money lies, and they are annual fixtures. One of the biggest such leagues is the English Premier League, which has viewership from around the world.

The English Premier League (EPL) was started almost 27 years ago. It has 20 competing teams, and this follows a system of promotion and relegation aligned with the English Football League. That is why most team lineups at the World Cup matches felt similar to Premier League betting rosters because of so many club names showing up.

As a football fan too, you will have the best engagement when you follow the clubs of the premier league. Every club has its own fan club whose members religiously show up to cheer on their teams at the match venues. Premier League betting is huge, There are sites where you can bet on the outcome of the matches, check the odds and predictions of each match and more.
