A MiG-21 aircraft of the Indian Air Force exploded and crashed in the Barmar district of Rajasthan state last night. Two Indian Air Force personnel were killed in the crash. The accident took place at 9.10 pm.
In this regard, Burma District Collector Lok Bandhu said that the plane crash took place near the village of Bimta in Burmar district. After receiving information about the accident, the police rushed to the spot. After the plane exploded, the footage was captured of the burning scene. He said that due information will be given to the army and rescue operations will be completed quickly.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh contacted the Indian Air Force Chief of Staff VR Chaudhary and inquired about the incident. Rajnath Singh condoled with the families of the two soldiers who died in the incident. He said that their service to the country will never be forgotten.
A military court inquiry has been ordered into the incident. In the Indian Air Force, these MiGs have seen a lot of accidents. In the last five years alone, the number of soldiers killed in plane crashes has risen to 42. The Indian Air Force is serious about phasing out the MiG aircraft, a Soviet-era aircraft, and switching to a modern aircraft.
